Scott, a graduate of the University of Alabama, has dedicated his career to the local government sector. Scott has served in various roles as Police Officer, Purchasing Manager, Finance Director, and City Manager. He also has served as a Planning Commission Member and an Elected City Council Member.

He has a Bachelor of science in Commerce and Business Administration and is a Certified Municipal Finance Officer.
